Share Family joins AI4LAM as a Founding Member
We’re pleased to share that the Share Family Initiative has become a Founding Member of AI4LAM, joining an international community exploring how artificial intelligence can serve libraries, archives, museums and consortia.
This connection brings our community’s experience in linked open data and collaborative metadata management to a wider exchange of ideas and practice. It also offers an opportunity to explore how reliable, connected metadata can underpin AI applications that support cultural heritage discovery.
Within Share Family, work is already under way to use AI to enrich metadata and assist bibliographic workflows such as authority control, with outputs reviewed and evaluated by cataloguers. Through our partnership with AI4LAM, we look forward to sharing what we learn and learning from others, keeping professional judgement and our members’ needs at the heart of this work.
